My CD "The Blue Window" by Roger Odell's BEATIFIK is available. If you are based in Europe you can go to the German sites   www.amazon.de or www.adorishop.de and get it by Mail Order, or if you're in the UK then www.amazon.co.uk is your best bet.  Search "Beatifik", "Roger Odell" or "The Blue Window" - one of 'em should work.

If you'd like to check out some tracks before buying, then go to my Listening Post where you'll find four Real Audio samples.  You can then find your way to details of all the musicians involved, some photographs, a lyric sheet and a review section.

Anyone living Suffolk/Essex/Cambs area in the UK might be interested in a fortnightly jazz gig that I do at The Cavendish Suite, The Bell Hotel, Market Hill, Clare, Suffolk, CO10 8NN.  There is a resident trio with myself on drums, Larraine Odell (my wife) singing, and we have top UK guest artists featured at each session.  Check www.jazz-nights.com.

I also play at monthly jazz concerts at the High Barn, Great Bardfield, Essex - a superb concert venue in a beautiful barn conversion that includes a recording studio.  Details are at www.high-barn.com.

We have a CD available featuring Larraine. Called "Portrait", it contains 8 classic songs from the Great American Songbook with Simon Brown (keys), Bernie Hodgkins (bs.gtr), and myself on drums. It costs £10 only if you e-mail the site and purchase direct. Click here for more details including reviews.

Any drummers out there might be interested in my Transcriptions page.  As well as my first Modern Drummer article "Left Foot Clave" which appeared in the August 1999 issue, there's the follow up articles "Funk Rock Clave" from MD February 2001 and "Left Foot Clave for Improving Jazz Coordination" from MD October 2008. There's also a series of graded examples for Snare Drum and Drum Kit.  I've delibrately used different notation techniques ( tails up or down, foot pedalled Hi-Hat on Bass Drum line or below, cymbals on various lines, etc.) - please email me if you have any questions about this material.

There are several Shakatak CDs and DVDs available from our web site as well as film clips.  Go to www.shakatak.com.

Thanks for all the e-mail concerning the Transcriptions page - I'm glad it's been of use.

Any questions about the band, or any comments on the site, then get in touch.
